does the HCP iotservices support HTTP endpoint?

Dear experts,

The iotservices  looks great but I can only access through HTTPS. I am curious why plain HTTP not supported. My Arduino does not support HTTPS and I guess SSL is painful for lot of "Things".

So, Is there anyway to put data through HTTP? or will it be supported?

Hi George,

IoT as well as all other services rely on HCP setup where exposed APIs are accessible over HTTPS / WSS only.

• SAP HANA Cloud Platform exposes applications only via HTTPS. For security reasons, applications cannot be accessed via HTTP.
