Variant in time attribute view

Hi experts,

         When creating a time attribute view with fiscal period ,the system was asking for "variant" which contains values like "24:120","K2:120" so on.Could you please explain me what is the purpose of this variant and when is it used .It would be helpful if explained with example.

Hi

This is to decide when your Fiscal Year starts.

Like for India, Fiscal Year start from April and end in March.   We use V3 for India.

Similarly K4 is for US where Fiscal year starts from January and end in December.

       Thank you so much for your answer.

          How can we know that for "V3" the fiscal year starts for APR-MAR or for "K4" the fiscal year starts from JAN-DEC.Is there any table or document containing this information?.If any could you please share it .

Hi Jithin

Use Transaction Code OB29 for the same.

Click on V3 and the Click "Periods" in the left hand side ( not in this Screenshot) .  You will see April as the first period.
