No This is Development system.

In Every day job log it is showing as below lines as from S0054074 to S0059424.log is not on disk.

Actually this log files are deleted from the path before few months back.

My think is this lines starting from F:\db2\KD1\log_arch\DB2KD1\KD1\NODE0000\C0000000\S0054074.LOG" is not on disk.

should not come in every day the job log.

What should i need to do? Restart the SAP.?

Hi Rajkumar,

Since those files were manually deleted, that's why you are getting warning in backup log files for those missing archive file.

This warning won't affect your system in any manner (until unless you are restoring your system from that time period of those archive log files).

If you still want to remove these warning messages then you can reset your archive backup log file and this warning will stop. But make sure to take backup of your backup log file before resetting it.

Thanks,

MPS

to

F:\db2\KD1\log_arch\DB2KD1\KD1\NODE0000\C0000000\S0059424.LOG" is not on disk.

after this lines writing log from disk to tape.

Hi Rajkumar,

Did you try renaming your archive log backup file? With next backup system will create new backup file and then these warnings messages won't be there from here onwards.

Thanks,

MPS

Renaming in the sense, I am planning the Archive logs backup to Tape as store as "All logs"

Tape label as no change empty box.

Device as "\\.\tape0"

Block size for Tape access empty box.

Double store as unchecked box

Overwrite Expired Tapes as checked box

Eject Tape at end of operation as unchecked box

I tried by give my own Tape label, but coming error as Tape label is not in alphanumeric.

But i given in correct format only.

Hi Rajkumar,

It seems you are having issue while resetting backup log file so please perform easy steps as below:

Prune history and log files:

db2 prune history 20160101 and delete

You give above command if your warning log files (S0059424.LOG & S0054074.LOG) were created before 01 Jan, 2016.

Hi Manish,

Thank you so much for your suggestion.

Mentioned db2 command works.

Executed prune history 20160101 and delete, and it was successful.

Immediately mounted a new tape and executed Archive log backup to tape immediately.

The above error as log "not on disk" disappeared.

Thank you.
