Hello all,
there is already 1 local category under the product hierarchy.
In comm_hierarchy I saied "start" to see details of the product hierarchy (lower part of the screen) and a list of the category (upper part of the screen).
I activate the change mode.
Then I press button "add category".
EBP always tells me to put the cursor on the category below which I'd like to add the new category.
Is'nt there any possibility to create a second local hierarchy at the same level like the first one?
Example:
<name of local hierarchy>
|----
loc1
|----
loc2
Best regards
Felix
Hi Felix,
In the Transaction COMM_HIERARCHY
GO to Product Hierarchies and go to Change mode.
Here select the Category under which you want to create a Sub Category.
Now Click on New Category (you will find this TAB under title Categories of Hierarchies)
then system opens a window for the creation of new category.
Give the ID and Description then this new category comes under the first selected Category.
with regards,
mahesh

Hello Mahesh,
thank you for your answer!
You suggest to create a subcategory below the first category.
This would be like:
hierarchy
|----
local1
|----
local2.
What I would like to achieve is the following:
hierarchy
|----
local1
|----
local2
The reason why I would like to get both categories in 1 level is:
The old category already is used. It is assigned to purchasing groups (RESP_PRCAT) as well as to people (PRCAT).
Thus the old category should not include the new category.
There will be other purchasing groups be responsible.
If I understood your post wrong or
if my message is unclear, please ask everybody.

Hi mahesh,
I am very sorry to bother you but it does not work or I am too st... to understand.
a) I put the cursor on the (so far one and only) local product category and say "create category" => then I get a subcategory below local1
or
b) I do not put the cursor there => I get the message to put the cursor on a category.
I don't know...
