Basic question for TDMS Vendor scrambling

Hi Experts,

We are planning to implement TDMS scrambling scenario in our non production system. We don't want to scramble vendor, custom or matrial numbers but requirement is to scramble field such as TAX1 and TAX2 fields within vendor master.

Is it possibele to use standard TDMS scrambling content and scramble only selected fields of Vendor/customer/material ? We want to make sure the data is still usable for testing in non prod after scrambling.

Hello Salman,

TDMS provides vendor and customer tables as standard content in Scrambling but this would not contain the fields as you mentioned above. So you would have to add the relevant tables and create some custom rules.

TDMS recommend scrambling master data fields - name, address, credit card numbers, DOB etc and not any pricing/salary fields as this can cause inconsistencies in further processes.
