Doubt in local client copy

Hello All,

We are going to perform local client copy using SAP_user profile in one of our production box. Currently Production system in in CUA.

Please help us to answer the below queries

1.Do we need to remove the production (source client or Target client) from CUA to perform local client copy.

2. Do we need to lock all the users in source client or target client. of production system

3. Do we need to suspend the jobs in production system

Source client :300

Target client : 500 (New)

Hi Sub.

Since it is a production system. you can perform the client copy either off peak or down time. before that refer the SAP Notes

Hi,

Currently CUA is in Development system and Souce client of PRD system is configured in that CUA.

Target client is not in CUA.

I would like to know whether we can do local client copy with sap_user profile with CUA enabled in source client of production system

Hi Sub,

In your case,you need to deactivate the CUA for the source client of PRD system before you do the client copy.

For the target client, since it is not in a CUA, you don't need to do anything.
