Quotes and VAT

Hello,

We are using C4C for a french company and implementing sales quotes.

In France the VAT %age and VAT amount are mandatory by law in a quote.

The business requirement is that the VAT is calculated by the system.

We have two options:

• Manage this only with C4C.
• Manage this with ECC (integration is planned in the future).
  In that case, price will be maintained in C4C and only VAT calculation will be managed in ECC.
  The problem is that we only send accounts from C4C to ECC when they are changed to customers. This means that ECC will not be able to calculate the VAT for a prospect because the account would not be knows.

Do you know how to achieve this?

Any thoughts?

We tried to allow users to maintain manually the VAT percentage in the pricing procedure but it seems that the VAT can not be set to manual.

  We faced the same issue in both our France and South Africa implementations and the only solution we could find was to perform the tax calculation within the Adobe LiveCycle form with a formcalc calculation.

And thank you for your reply.

We have to manage different tax percentage base on a lot of rule that can not be easily implemented by coding, that's wy we require Sales Rep to select VAT percentage manualy.

In our scenario VAT calculation at form level will not solve the issue.
