SOAP Receiver Channel: Guest user by default?

Hi All,

In PO 7.4 soap receiver channel, it is taking "Guest" user by default even if I am configuring authentication and providing user and password.

Everytime I am getting this error "Failed to call the endpoint : Error  in call over HTTP : HTTP 401 Unauthorized"

How can I check/change this user in PI?

Hi Nishant,

The below statement in audit log says that the message enter the soap adapter for processing with user guest but when the adapter call the web service end point it will use whatever you configured in the channel not guest user, guest user responsibility is up to delver the message to soap adapter not for entire processing.

Hello Nishant,

1.Make sure username/password is configured in the channel properly.

2.Make sure the user has authorisation to hit the webservice.

3.Check whether the cache is up to date(to ensure the udpated channel details are used in run time).

4.Stop/Start the channel.
