Regarding note "138012 - LSMW: Long texts cannot be displayed"

Hi Friends ,

The 2 possible solution in this note are :

1. The flag is supplied by user defined report after the import

2. In the field assignment/mapping an update is coded on the respective table field .

The 2nd solution is clear that we have to write code in the standard LSMW under the mapping area. But whats the 1st one. I assume they are saying that we have to create a separate Z program to update the records after creating long text with LSMW ? Is my understanding correct ?

I am updating long text of routing/inspection plan header and the operations.

I believe you have the note interpreted correctly.

I think you need a program to set the flag after the import.

But you should post the question in the developers space.  While you are loading to inspection plans, this is really a generic type of object and I expect it's not limited to just inspection plans but anything that uses long text.  So I imagine there are developers that have dealt with this.  QM - not so much.
