Calculation key in PS Network Activity

Hi

Can someone give an example of using the Calculation key in Network activity.

I am involved in PM module but time and again had to be involved with the PS team too.

I have read the help of the fields and its dependencies but still cannot understand its practical use.

I will appreciate if someone with values can explain  for instance using key "1 Calculate Duration", in which fields i need to enter the values and which field will provide the output.

It was explained by Kusam.

There is no difference between the usage of calculation key you used in SAP PM and PS

Hi,

when you give the Calculation Key as " calculate Duration", the system will calculate the Normal Duration by taking the values from fields Work Center and Work.

Example:

in the work center if the no of working hrs in a day given is 8 hrs. and in the Work field if you give the no of working hrs to complete the activity is say 24 hrs, the system will calculate and provide value in the field Normal duration i.e, 3 days.
