We are currently working through a business case to support a decision to implement Concur for our corporate card and Pcard programs.
We are using WebDynPro through our Portal currently. The business is looking for a "drop dead date" so to speak, as when will SAP stop supporting SAP Travel Management?
It is already in maintenance mode with NO enhancements being completed. It is also not part of S/4HANA. We interpret this as we have to be off of it before we move to S/4 and already be up and running with Concur.
Can anyone give me a ballpark timeframe?
Hi Kim, in the fall of 2014, it was communicated by the SAP Board that the end of ERP maintenance - therefore including Travel Management OnPremise - is scheduled to end in 2025. Travel Management OnPremise has been in maintenance since March of 2012. This means we are responsible for continuous improvements as well as legal changes. It is correct, however, that no further major developments are planned. Best regards, Karina Wittek Product Manager Travel Management OnPremise

Anyone heard of a timeframe when clients will be forced to go to Concur?

Hi Kim
Considering the massive user base of SAP T&E and that there are no standard Concur/SAP interfaces yet, I can't see SAP stopping support for some years. However the standard approach used by SAP for such changes is basically to stop any development at all in the 'legacy' product. This means SAP T&E functionality will be 'frozen in time' from here on in.
One of our customers is implementing Concur at the moment with an in-house SAE file interface program logic. We expect to do another project in a couple of years to replace the interface with a standard connector (when SAP has released it).
