Unable to connect to ABAP system. Missing auth object

We have installed Information Steward 4.2 and we're trying to connect to one of our ABAP systems.  It is a Netweaver 7.0 system on SP 23.

The Information Steward connection is getting an authorization error that says we need to add authorization object S_SDSAUTH.

When I try to add the auth object S_SDSAUTH to the Information Steward role, I get an error that authorization object S_SDSAUTH does not exist.

How can I add a missing authorization object?

Hi,

the object belongs to package /SAPDS/RS_BASIS, which refers to component EIM-DS-ODP.

I suppose, it was simply never delivered in release 700....

You can ask SAP on that component, whether the object defintion can be delivered for your release as well.
