Division Assignment Question

Hi Gurus,

I read in many places that the assignment from Division to Sales Org is 1-1.

In my DEV system I was able to assign 1 division to 2 Sales Orgs.

My questions are:

1. Is there any issue assigning 1 DIV to 2 Sales Orgs?

2. Could there be any system error?

3. Any report error?

One of the pre-requisites for you to create a sale order is sales area and as long as you don't face any issue while saving the sale order, there won't be any subsequent impact.  Create a sale order with both the Sales Orgs and update here on the outcome.

I have made the necessary configurations and tested.

All seem to be fine.

The only issue I see is that the new SO is no bringing the correct Profit Center.

So, I am checking to see how the new S can have the correct PC.

If we think about a business scenario where one company have only one division and having four sales organizations. so we have to assign one division to all sales organizations.

Answers for your Queries

1- there is no problem with it we can assign as many based on requirement.

2- there no error will show.

3- no report error even you can get more detail information based on different sales Org.

Hi Carlos,

Several divisions can be assigned to a sales organization.

Consider that a division can represent a certain product group, then if you are ussing two different sales organizations in reportig you could have this particularity on two different structures.

Your configuration could be check for consitency on the IMG to avoid have issues in the future.

You can assign Many division to Many sales organization

Relationship Division --- Sales organization ( Many - Many )
