Configuring 'SAP Education' business scenario

Hello,

I am trying to map a business scenario into SAP SD. The requirement is very similar to the business process of booking a SAP course in SAP Education.

Steps:

1. Customer checks the availability dates of courses in our website and calls us.

2. A Sales Order will be created for the customer.

3. The invoice will be sent after the end of the training.

4. From the company side, we want to be able to track revenue from the training sold. Also, the costs of training are variable: instructor's hotel, transportation, meal etc. At the end of the training, we want to be able to compare the costs and revenue, and report to FI/CO. We want to be able to do create something in PS project systems but there are multiple customers.

What would be the optimum way to map this process into SAP SD module?

Explore Periodic Billing option

Hi,

Thank you for your reply. Could you please elaborate a bit on how periodic billing option would be relevant for the business scenario that we describe? We only bill the customer once, at the end of the training.

Our main concern is tracking the costs and revenue of this training. I have heard PS module allows us to collect costs and revenue of the training, if we create as a project. But billing will be an issue if there are multiple customers for the project, which is a training course. We have multiple training courses, of different length of time.
