System Time on VM Server

Hello, I am having time issues on my distributed environment running on VM because the time is out of synch among the servers.  I came across a document at one that stated SAP servers should not get their time from the ESX host but from NTP.  I would like to know if this is still valid and where I can find this document (not sure if it was a note or a whitepaper).  Thanks in advance.

Hi Mary,

Simply add a NTP server to the systems...  in Windows you usually set the PDC server as NTP Server.

Read SAP Note 2046718 - Time Synchronization on Windows

It also have notes on Windows running as guest OS on VMware

Thanks so much.  I have no clue how that note did not pop in my numerous searches.

Have a look to VMware knowledge base:

Perhaps it helps you.
