When I am trying to access the Bid Invitation transaction in EBP via web browser, I encounter the following error:
<b>500 ITS Error
Communication Problem: The web server extension (WGate) failed to receive a response from the ITS Web Service.</b>
Please let me know where is the problem and how to rectify it.
Regards
Reddy
Did you ever get this error fixed?

I have the same problem only with ONE transaction.
Others work good and no communication problems.
So it is not problem of WGate or AGate.
The main thing is that we have modified this transaction (BP in CRM) with EEWB.
Transaction work good in SAP GUI but ITS could not show it correctly.

Hello Alexander,
it is definitly an AGate issue.
Somehow your changes causes the Agate to fail (on this thread or completely) and thereby the agate does not respond correctly (or at all) on the request from the wgate.
Please check your agate traces (<its>/<instance>/traces) for errors around the timestamp you ran into the failure, they might be helpfull to find the problem.
After thinking this over; the second cause could be that your service (e.g. reporting) stays away in the AGate/R3 for a long time (> 10 minutes) which causes the Network interface to time-out.

Your web site extension (on IIS for example) is online?

Is this only occurring with the Bid Invitation transaction?
Common reasons for the ITS 500 error are:
-agate is not started
-wgate has the wrong agate host name or port number
-agate crashed?
-network does not resolve agate host name correctly
You should have a look at the wgate and agate trace files to see what the error messages say.
