Oracle dictionary statistics cannot be collected

hello Experts

i cannot Creating Oracle system statistics using BRCONNECT .My Update optimizer statistics operation in db14 hangs at (BR1311I Starting collection of Oracle dictionary statistics.) at the end keeps running indefinitely . please help me in how to overcome this situation

Hi Rahul,

Update statistics usually takes sometime, you need to wait until it completes or gives any error.

Trying to run the statistics using below command...

$ brconnect -u / -c -f stats -t all

If nothing works try upgrading BrTools to latest version and try.

i have tried through this command as well but it hangs  at the below step .

its been running for 10 days now

Hi,

Please check alert/trace/log files for more information.

Check if there is any wait sessions v$session_wait, .lock file created.
