Hello Experts
I am not clear on why we need a Business System in EWM (SCM) but there's none in ECC.
Can anyone pls elaborate on this.
Thanks
Akhil
Hi,
your question should be the other way around: "why does ECC not offer the use of a business system, like it is in SCM?". And the answer would probably be: because nobody thought of it at that time.

Hi Akhil,
This is addition to Natalia's reply,
we can map the fallowing settings along with business system to process ECC & EWM deliveries in EWM.
1. ECC & EWM warehouse numbers
2. QRFC queues control.
3. Control parameters for ERP version control : within this we maintain the settings for IBD & OBD including batch updates and QI settings
4. ERP documents mapping with EWM document types
5. ERP item types with EWM item types
6. Date types ( to calculate planning execution times )
7. Partner profiles
8. Messaging distribution
9. Mapping of Routes & Route schedulings.

Hello,
In ECC to send the deliveries to EWM with reference to plant, storage locations, etc.
In EWM you can map the WHNs along with the business system, since deliveries can process with reference to business system only.
You need to map the business system and the logical system to the corresponding EWM warehouse.

Natália
