Error While Upgrade to Netweaver 7.31- Run SAPCPE for SCS switch

Dear All,

We are facing an error during  SAPCPE for SCS switch phase.

Logs have been given below

Configuration has been built from input file /usr/sap/FWX/SUM/sdt/config/ExecuteTasks.xml.

Sapcontrol client could not perform action os process execute on instance null

Return code condition success evaluated to false for process sapcontrol for action os process execute.

Please help us ASAP.

Issue has been resolved by changing sapservices file entry, it was pointing to start profile and due to upgrade start profile is merged to instance profile, once after changing it, sapcontrol was able to get the result and it worked.

Hello Rajesh,

This means that the sapstartsrv process of the instance 90 is not running, at the server sapfwx, or there is a firewall blocking the connection.

You can execute the command below in order to manually start the sapstartsrv. It should be executed as "fwxadm", at the server sapfwx.

sapcontrol -nr 90 -function StartService FWX

Once the sapstartsrv is up and running, repeat the phase.

Hi Rajesh,

You need to start the SCS instance manuallyand then retry the steps.

It seems that sapstartsrv service is not up .
