Auto Check in Documents in SAP DMS

Dear All,

I am new to DMS.

I have created a document using CV01n .

When I go to MM03 I can view the document there.

One of my colleagues was trying to view the document in MM03 ,he is unable to view it until I manually check in the document.

Is there anyway we can do the check-in of the document automatically.

So that he can view it as soon as I upload.

It would be of great help if you can help me with this.

HI Sowmya,

you can check in it mannually, or you can do the customizng that when you change the DIR to certain status, the originals will be checked in automatically.

I changed the settings in DC10 and was able to check in the image automatically.

But after check in when I go to view the image in MM03 I get the following message .

Before check in I was able to view the image .Can you please let me know the reason for this

and how to resolve it.

please check the customizing in DC30, you can specify a network or local application to open this file.

for the issues on your screenshot, it is a error comes from Windows, you have no default application to open this kind of files

Sowmya,

The standard practice is to create new version if anyone else wants to change the original apart from you.

For viewing anyone can view until unless they dont want to change it.

But the other user is not even able to view the image.

He is able to view text and pdf files though.
