Hello,
I do not know what happens when the timezone of OS differs from the timezone in STZAC?
Currently on both OS and SAP the timezone CET is set. What is the impact when I change the system timezone to UTC?
And how is the process when an SAP GUI client from another country (timezone) is working. Which time would be logged?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Hello,
Thanks to all replier. Let me show you a concrete example which I do not fully understand:
Regarding the KBA 2006897 the formula for calculating the OS time zone is (report TZCUSTHELP):
3600/3600+(2 -> Yes=1 or No=0)
In this case 3600/3600+2 = 3, the OS time zone is UTC+3.
But in OS I am getting the following:
UTC+1
In SAP txn STZAC:
I think that is why I am getting the error in the report TZCUSTHELP:
But I unfortunately not know what setting is wrong?
Thanks
BR

Hi,
First, SAP and OS should always have same time and timezone set.
Second, there is no impact on system, process, database records if you change the timezone. though downtime would be necessary.
Third, For any user logging in SAP system from other timezone/country, he will see things according to the default settings set in his/her user profile (SU3 -> default tab).
