Archiving Job Failure in Production

Hi Experts,

We have a production issue mentioned below -

Archival job(ARV_BC_XMB_WR) - [3 Jobs] continue to fail in production system due to that the DB growth is alarming.

It is creating dump in PI and job is failing.

Error analysis

An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.

The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_IMPORT_FORMAT_ERROR', was not

caught in

procedure "ARCHIVE_MARKED_MSG" "(METHOD)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING

clause.

Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the

exception would occur, the current program is terminated.

The reason for the exception is:

In this case the header of the dataset is invalid.

The entire transport header (CLUSTD beginning):

"00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 (................)"

If this is table VBDATA (IMPORT FROM LOGFILE), the key follows here (

VBKEY). Otherwise it can be found below under 'Selected Variables’.

Can you please suggest, what could be the issue. We need to resolve it asap.

Raised an incident with SAP and there were plenty of steps provided by SAP to find the solution.

Hello Nidhi,

You need to increase the table space of your PI system to resolve this issue ASAP. Ask your basis team, they will be able to do it.
