Hello Ravi,

Can you please check SAPServiceSID and SAPSID_00 services are available and running in Services.

If not restart sapstartsrv.exe and check again.

U can add SID manually in your mmc,if you know your SID name and Instance Number.

Hello,

To add a system manually:

  • Open the MMC, right click at the "SAP systems" item and choose "properties";
  • Switch to the "fixed" tab;
  • Inform the SID at the "system" field, and at the "instance" field inform "<hostname> <blank space> <instance number>";
  • Click "add" and then "ok".

To know the SID and instance number:

  • Open the Windows Services (e.g., start / run / "services.msc");
  • Look for services named SAPSID_XX (where XX is the instance number).

Hi ravi,

If your Entire parent root deleted please follow the below steps

Well I followed this procedure in windows server 2008,I think its almost same for server 2003,

File --> Add or remove snap-in

choose SAP system from left pane and click "add"

from "advance" button you can add instance number ,
