Hi Experts,
I am working on PI 7.31 single stack,my scenario is NFS to mail where PI pulls the text files and should email to constant email address with the file that picked up as an attachment which I have done through ICO no ESR objects. But the receiver channel is functioning in error and message got failed in PI. Please find the below error code:
"Transmitting the message to endpoint <local> using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.srt.BubbleException: Failed to call the endpoint [null "null"]; nested exception caused by: java.net.UnknownHostException: [smtp server of outlook]"
Please help to resolve the issue.
Thanks,
Nithin.
Hi Nithin,
In addition to the above expert's opinion. Please check with your IS /Networks team to see if they allow you to configure SMTP. The reason I'm saying this is because, I remember seeing this error in the past( vaguely remember it, not sure though), they told me not to use SMTP and to use IMAP.
Thank you,
Justin.

Hi Nithin,
The host name you entered in the channel is not known by your PI server (it cannot be resolved to ip address), try putting the IP address in the channel.

Hi Raghu,
Thank u for reply, I double checked the server details but still the same error. Now I am trying to post to my gmail ID for test purpose after giving IP of www.gmail.com but no change in error code.
Thanks,
Nithin.
