Error when creating runtime objects for BEx Query in Gateway Service Builder

Hi All,

Im'm trying to consume a BEx Standard Query in SAP Gateway Service Builder according to this blog post:

1st issue:

After select the elements in step 3, when creating the runtime objects I'm getting this error message for many fields:

"ABAP Field name 'I/ERP/PROJECT009' contains special characters"

The Elements of the Query are BW Standard Info Objects.

2nd issue:

When removing this fields with the special character "/" creating the runtime objects works.

But when I want to add the service in transaction /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE

i'm getting the error message:

"System error message: Type conflict during a function modul call (field"

Do you have an idea how to resolve these problems?

Hi Thorsten,

what is the SAP Basis Release of the system where you run SEGW?

Is it the SAP NetWeaver (7.40 SPxx?, 7.50 SPxx?)

Or are you using a SAP Basis Release prior to 7.40 that means 7.31, 7.02 with SAP Gateway 2.0 AddOn's ? And if yes what is the SP Level of the IW_BEP component?
