Hi Experts,

I am configuring PLM web UI3 in EhP7 environment. Getting error while creating the engineering record in PLM web UI. The error is "No engineering record type assigned to Records Mgmt Syst. ID (RMS ID) /PLMI/ECR_SP_RECORD"
I configured the record types ECRP, RELP and CERP as per the available documentation." Tried to configure the Records Management functionality.

The existing error links to the following webdynpro components. Any idea how to fix this error?

We are using only the ECM functionality. TREX, Engg. Desktop, Viewer, Content server, ACL, DMZ not installed/set up.
No interaction with outside company.

Does any FPM/ABAP component missing activation?
Is there any help/documentation available specific to PLM web UI and our configuration requirements?

Can you check if the following BC Set(s) are active in your system

  • /PLMI/WEBUI2_SCMGVC_STATPROF_C
  • /PLMI/WEBUI2_SCMGVC_CASE_TYPE_C
  • /PLMI/WEBUI2_SCMGVC_ATTRREASON_V
  • /PLMI/WEBUI2_/PLMI/VC_ECR_FC_C

Thanks Manik.

All these BC sets are not available in our system. They seem to have been missed during installation.

Is there any way to manage this manually?

I am trying to add the element types manually in records management, but it is still not working.

Any other way to fix this?

Manik,

Please find more details in attachment.

Now the error changed to /PLMI/ECR_BO  000

Technical error; contact your system administrator

No further sap help is available in sap support or the
message details. Debugging this FPM is very difficult. No clear headway yet.

Here is screenshot of RMS id and element types used in ECR from SRMREGEDIT tcode

in case it helps.

In case it doesnt work still , you will have to debug only.

I will suggest you to keep a breakpoint in /plmi/cl_ecr_bo method CREATE_CHANGE_RECORD,,

And debug there.

Further , the ECR types shown on create screen comes directly from the configutaion done in SPRO->Make settings for Engg record

Hi Milind,

please note that for a proper installation of Switch [!] BC-Sets, report SCPR_ACTIVATE_SBCSETS is used (and not TCode SCPR20). There you will find the Switch BC-Sets listed by Manik.

Settings for the report are in your case:

* Check Activation Options -> Client Options -> Activate in Logon Client

* Ignore Previous Activations = 'X'

* Ignore Table Delivery Classes = 'X'
