Same Expiry Material will go to same bin

Hi Gurus

We have a scenario for putaway material on the basis of same expiry material will go to same bin (different expiry material will not be allowed in one bin) and different batches of same product with same expiry will be allowed in one bin, please suggest me some solution and settings in storage type, so that we can get this solution.

Hi Rajeev,

In Storage Type, Putaway control section , check QuantAddnStk SLED parameter.

Options are

	Allowed - Most Recent Date Dominant
2	Allowed - Earliest Date Dominant
1	Not Allowed
3	Product Putaway Profile Decides

I guess in your case it will be 1 Not Allowed ( new stock not to add in existing stock if expiry dates are different ) .

Putaway Rules: 2 Addition to existing stock/Empty bin

Hi Rajeev,

Standard functionality can not be supported to putaway the material with reference to a characteristic, since expiry date is a standard characteristic in batch management. 

Here , need to determine the bin as per the characteristic at the time of WT creation. please check for the WT creation level enhancements , but the logic should be consider bin capacity and putaway rules also from storage type.

Sorry , I forget about batches.

In this case ,different batches treat as different quants .

Quant - Warehouse Structure - SAP Library

Also check table -/SCWM/AQUA with records.

That is why It is not working .

So It is not possible in standard, Use BAdI/ SCWM/EX_CORE_PTS_FILT_SORT for bin determination with table /SCWM/AQUA( product,SLED ..etc) with bin capacity and putaway rules etc .. .
