Could not update user attribute "j_user" on namespace

Hi All,

Happy New year.

We are GRC10 and SP13

While we submit a request having portal groups,the group gets assigned but the request is taking an escape route with below error

Could not update user attribute "j_user" on namespace

"com.sap.security.core.management" of principal

Kindly advise.

Hi Bose,

Basically, this error is expected from the portal as it is not allowing to create or change the users belonging to LDAP data-source if this data-source is configured as read only in portal.

Instead, GRC should restrict sending change user request as the object selected in the request is only role.

As a solution you need to set this data-source to modifiable in the Portal system.

Edit access to AD is not allowed in our client!
