I´m running the Upgrade ERP EHP5 to EHP7 with the SUM 1.0 SP14 (SUM10SP14_4-20006676.SAR)

I have error in the phase MAIN_SHDRUN/RUN_RSPTBFIL_INISHD

Last error code set: Single errors (code <= 😎 found in logfile 'RSPTBSHDIN_PH.ELG'

When i enter the shadow instance in check the SE14 the view does not exist in the database, when i create in database give me an error with all views.

I´m search oss notes but I can not find.

Hi Desiree,

This kind of issue generally occurs if errors in ACT_UPG are ignored or not handled properly.
Could you let me know if you had faced the issue in ACT_UPG ? How were they handled ?
I am mainly concerned about the errors with DDL sources .

Certainly I had problems in the ACT_UPG phase with the following messages:

Hi Desiree,

I am sorry for the bad news but this report should not be used in shadow instance.
Usage of this report are documented in Note 2023690.

This report activated the objects in online mode which is not same as how upgrade tool activated the objects in ACT_UPG in shadow. You should follow the Note 2086899 and use the report attached in Note to activate the DDL sourced mentioned above. This report was specially written for ACT_UPG phase .

At this point, I can only suggest to try activating the DDL objects mentioned in ACT_UPG again with report in Note 2086899 and repeat the phase. But in case this do not work then you would need to reset the upgrade and then start the upgrade again. In case you face the same issue then please
use the report from 2086899 to activate the objects .

Hello

When i apply the OSS Note 2086899 in the source system give me error: "The Dictionary structure or table "DDLDEPENDENCY" not exist", the table not exist in the source system. Only exists in the shadow instance the table DDLDEPENDENCY

Even views (DDLS) showing errors in the log does not exist in the source system.

I'm confused on how to apply this note.

Offcourse because this was written for shadow instance. I had written that other report which you used should not be used in shadow instance. But this should be used in shadow to activate the objects.

In the shadow instance the program RUTDDLSACT already exists but the code is different. When I try to change the program shows me the user DDIC "User DDIC May not Make Changes in customer systems"

Sorry this is my first Upgrade to EHP, I can enter to modify the program to another account?

Hi Desiree,

I would recommed to please follow the Note. Note do not suggest to change the report
but create the Z report which is attached in the Note.

Also , DDIC cannot make changes in the system so you need to use a user other than DDIC. May be you can use the user which you used to perform the SPDD or ask the admin to create a user for you in shadow so you could continue .

You can unlock the shadow instance. Commands should be available in SUM guide as well as there is a KBA also for this... found it 2048823...Once done with changes , lock the system back and then repeat the phase.

Sorry for delay, the process continue without problem. In this moment the process is there in step "proccessing" phase MAIN/SHDIMP/SUBMOD_SHDIMP/SHADOW_IMPORT_INC

Hello Colleagues,

we had exactly the same problem during EhP 7 upgrade on SAP ECC 6.0. (SUM v1.0 SP14 PL6)

We did the following to solve the problem:

1. unlock the shadow system with <sid>adm user on OS level:

cd /<update directory>/abap/bin

SAPup unlockshd

2. regarding the SAP Note 2086899, create the report ZRUTDDLSACT_2086899 in the shadow instance client 000 different user than DDIC

3. run the report ZRUTDDLSACT_2086899 for the objects PPH*

4. lock the shadow instance (SAPup lockshd)

5. Repeat the phase MAIN_SHDRUN/RUN_RSPTBFIL_INISHD to continue at the point it stopped

We are also facing same issue in Upgrade Phase MAIN_SHDRUN/RUN_RSPTBFIL_INISHD.

We have SAP Basis rel 701 patch level 0. we are upgarding to ECC6  EHP7.

Which report needs to copy from note 2023690, both reports are for rel 740.

Please urgent.

Hi Pavan,

Why would you try the report from Note 2023690? This should not be used during upgrade.
See the correct answer marked section which resolved the issue. you need to create the Z report from the other note mentioned and use it. Never ignore the errors in ACT_UPG (as mentioned in SUM guide). Sometimes it can be fixed in later phases like this one but not in most of the cases.

Now, Upgrade phase MAIN_SHDRUN/GEN_TABSIZEFILE_CP2SHD failed with  R6D database not able to connect. Can you please help.

Also check the job logs in system for last job run for job "RSPTBFIL"

Which version of SUM is used ?
