Enterprise SOA :

Enterprise SOA is a business-driven software architecture that increases adaptability, flexibility, openness, and cost-efficiency. With enterprise SOA, organizations can compose applications and enable business processes rapidly using enterprise services. With enterprise SOA, organizations can improve their reuse of software and become more agile in responding to change.

Large enterprise customers can start their journey toward enterprise SOA by adopting the current release of the mySAP ERP application. Midsize customers can start with an SAP. All-in-One solution. Both mySAP ERP and SAP All-in-One solutions are powered by the SAP NetWeaver platform.

Hi Jack,

SAP Discovery is more like a sandbox system which allows companies to get thier feet wet with protyping composites within the eSOA environment, best practices and also includes educational and informational materials for SAP NetWeaver 2004s and mySAP ERP 2005.

For companies hesistant to embrace eSOA ,I guess the idea was to give customers upfront a preconfigured & preinstalled environment , in the eSOA adoption curve.

A wise man once said start small think big

ES workplace is where SAP offes developers and anyone interested to touch enterprise services delivered by SAP.Every productized enterprise service for SAP solutions is available here for exploration, test driving, and consumption.

My prsumption is that all these are efforts to help companies adopt eSOA faster and give direction from SAP's in house best practices.

There is a community discussion on esoa on more or less the topics you touched upon.
