Settings automatic Timeout / Logout after defined time of GUI/UI (NWBC) doesn work partially

Dear all,

we have the requirement that our system should automatically log out user accounts which are logged on and execute no action within a period of 90 minutes.

For the SAP GUI in RZ10 I have set the parameter:

rdisp/gui_auto_logout           90M

For the timeout / logout on the UI (NWBC - Web - Internet Explorer) I have set the parameter:

rdisp/plugin_auto_logout           5400   (90 minutes)

http/Security_session_timeout      5400  (90 minutes)

After this I have created activated the profile in transactions RZ10 and SICF_SESSIONS - HTTP (for the respective client).

Additionally the system is re-started again.

The settings for the sap gui works as expected.

But the settings for the sap ui via Internet Explorer doesn't work as expected.

It displayed a timeout, but if I refresh the Internet Explorer (e.g. via F5 button), the same GRC screen as before is active (e.g an Access Request).

The expected result is, that the log on screen should appear now.

Is there a additional parameter or transaction which I have to execute?

Can someone help me with this problem?

Hello Melanie, It would be better if you contact the ABAP webdynpro space. I would recommend the following KBA: 705013 - Timeout for ICF services based on ITS Best Regards, Fernando
