Hello,
Where does Expert Analytics get its connection info for SAP BW systems from?
In my case the offered SAP systems differ from those in my SAP Logon. It seems as if Expert Analytics would use a very old saplogon.ini file.
But this doesn't seem to be the whole truth: I found an old saplogon.ini file in a local directory whose entries correspond more or less to those offered by Expert Analytics. When I copy my current saplogon.ini into that directory, nothing changes. I.e. the entries offered by Expert Analytics remain the same.
Who can tell me, how to keep the SAP BW systems offered by Expert Analytics up to date?
Regards,
Ingo
HI Ingo
For me when I select BW as datasource, it shows those list of servers available in the dropdown which I have configured in my SAP GUI log on.

Hi Ingo,
Yes this can happen when there are multiple SAPlogon.ini files on your machine. SAP Predictive Analytics - Expert Analytics reads the first one it finds and attached is a link to SAP Note 2185278 that explains the order in which it looks for the SAPlogon.ini file.

The note was originally written for SAP Lumira but the same principles apply.
Kind regards,
