Hi
My Server had as crash during installation and when i restart the installtion process it is failing with
File dipgntab.log>
sapscsa(5):0: I am " | ", but should be "sapsys | ". |
sapscsa: system(/usr/sap//SYS/exe/run/sapmscsa);
sh: /usr/sap//SYS/exe/run/sapmscsa: No such file or directory
rslgwr1(16): I cannot get addr of SCSA.
It seems to me that the installation cannot replace SYS with the correct <SID>...
I have checked the env SAPSYSTEMNAME and it is ok for <sid>adm
Any ideas
Hello Jakob,
The issue you are facing after the crash seems to me that the files got corrupted and it was in the middle of an activity that was not correctly finished.
I suggest you to restart the installation over again.
However, if it is not possible now, please provide the installation log files for further analysis:
- sapinst_dev.log
- control.xml
- summary.html
- keydb.xml

Hi,
The SCSA is related to system log messages as mentioned in note 12715.
The error causes no problem for the operation of web dispatcher. You can
safely ignore this error.
Therefore, the SCSA is not used by WDP. If you take a look at the WDP
packages from Market Place, the sapmscsa do not belongs to that package.
I believe that if the Web Dispatcher instalation came from the SAPINST,
it delivery the sapmscsa in the WDP exe folder. However, the standalone
packages it is not delivery, because the SCSA are is not needed to WDP.
You can ignore this message regarding the SCSA creation.

Dear Jakob,
Kindly check whether the file sapmscsa exists in directory /usr/sap//SYS/exe/run/.
If the file exists , then you need to check the permission of the file.

Hi Ashutosh
The file exist ok and the permissions is set to full for all users. What i think is, that the real problem is the //SYS in the path?
Because: when i say the file exists it only partly the truth. It exists in /usr/sap/VM9/exe/run... So i mean, why is /SYS replaced my the value of <SID> (VM9)?
Dear Jakob,
Can you please follow the below things:
Option 1 :
- Take a reboot of the server.
- Start the sapinst with "continue with old option"
Option 2 :
If the above does not work , then kindly upgrade the kernel to the latest level.
Option 3 :
- Create a directory SYS/exe/run under /usr/sap
- keep the file sapmsscas
- retry the SWPM.
We will just check the impact of the changes.
Kindly let me know , the status for the same.
