External Calibration Process through Subcontracting Process

Hi Guru's,

Can any body please share the document of External Calibration Process through Subcontracting Process by using Control Key PM02 business scenario in SAP.

As I am unable to find the process in SCN, kindly share document with me please.

Hi,

thanks for information but in your described process, calibration tool's must be exist as Material. However, in most cases calibration tool's are Equipments and than it looks quite difficult to manage the process of external calibration OR  ???? (purchase order, stock relevant, etc.)

could you please explain following describition from you:

Here remove tick mark Equip.task list why because if we do task list with respect to equipment then we select Equip.task list otherwise we choose Gen.task list that’s why remove Equip.task list then click execute  button.

Dear Sir,

In case of general task list you can use in any equipment, but if inspection parameter are different then you can create equipment task.

Further for similar equipment under one serial number you can have 100  equipment.Serial number in purchasing (MM)have come on ECC-6/EHP 3,and it is to be activated.

Dear,

Who is going to record the results in case of external calibration process?If it is internal your users record the result as per the calibration done.

Are you sending any inventory(From your stores) material to your subcontracting vendor for calibration process?

Normally external calibration is process like AMC for third party vendor(Govt authorized vendor for calibration) So that he can calibrate the master calibrators in desired frequency.He only gives the hard copy of certificate for any ISO audits etc... to have master calibrator calibration data.

In this case have a open P.O for AMC for one year  or two years etc.. and when ever vendor calibrates

For external calibration process, if you are not recording the results, Kindly create a "Maintenance plan" with category as" Maintenance plan for Notification category", so that system generates the notification as per your parameters and once vendor does the calibration convert notification in to order and make service entry with respect to AMC P.O with account assignment category as "F-Order".

Dear Sir,

AMC PO may not becasue calibrated equipment is exciseable material and as statutory requirement it can not go out with out excise Challan(J1IF01).The PO will be subcontracting PO with item category 'L'.

Further In case of calibration of gauges /verniers,there are two process(internal,external) with different control key in maintenance Plan (PM01,PM03) .
