Would like to ask you regarding requirements or dependent demand at Semi-Finished Goods (SFG).
First, let me inform you that we are using PPM (both PPDS and SNP) in APO. For PPDS, it is transferred to APO via CIF and for SNP it is manually created in APO based on PPDS PPM.
Our FG is produce at location M1. In ECC BOM structure, this FG contains SFG as an assembly and it's also produce at location M1. Both FG and SFG are being planned and transferred to APO as master data. Production version is created for FG at location M1. This is transferred to APO as PPDS PPM. Based on this, we create SNP PPM.
In APO, we plan the FG to a different location M2. The demand or forecast of FG from distribution center creates a stock transport requisition at location M2.
We run SNP heuristics at FG-M2, this produces SNP planned orders and requirements/dep demand are created for SFG as well.
The issue is when we run Product heuristics at FG-M2. This produced PPDS planned orders but with NO requirements/dep demand being created at SFG level.
Can you please confirm if we have a correct or missing master data setup especially on PPM? Also, whenever we run product heuristics via rrp3, we noticed that Source of Supply is 'blank' but then again PPDS PPM is available in APO. We also noticed that only when we edit the PPDS planned order and change or assign the source of supply, this is the only time that the requirements/dep demand at SFG are being created. Please advise. Thanks!
