Prevent upload of prices for materials not extended to Sales org

Hi SAP GURU'S

Can any one suggest me on below.

When we are updating condition records for material (xyzxyz) in VK11 system allows us to update irrespective of sales org.

For ex:XYZXYZ material is extended only for 3 sales org's (0001,0002,0003).we have two more( 0005,0006) sales org too.

but material xyzxyz is not extended on these two.but we can maintain PRICING record in VK11 for same material with not extend sales org(0004,0005)

My requirement is system should give error message while updating pricing records in VK11 for xyzxyz with sales org. (0004,0005) which are not extended by material.

Your suggestions are highly appreciated.

If you try to maintain pricing condition for a material which has not been extended to a particular Sales Organization, system will pop up an error message

Material ABC not defined for sales organization 1000 with dist. channel 10
Message no. VK007

which is a standard error message and in your case also, this should pop up.

Hi Lakshmipathi sir,

If you try to maintain pricing condition for a material which has not been extended to a particular Sales Organization, system will not pop up an error message until unless we do some settings.

Regardless of sales org. system accepts CONDITION RECORD IN VK11.

If you know any settings plz let me know.

Hi Naveen,

System checks the extension of material in Sales Organization in conjunction with Distribution Channel.

If Sales Org is the only field in Condition table (i.e. without Distribution Channel), system will allow to create condition record.

Please confirm if Distribution Channel is missing in your condition table/record.

Yes you are right.System checks the extension of material in Sales Organization in conjunction with Distribution Channel.

What if we are maintaining condition record only with two key combinations like below

1)Sales Org.

2)Material

Distribution Channel is missing in my condition table/record.

Please advice

Hi Naveen,

As of now, there is no standard setting which can prevent maintaining condition records without distribution channel.

However , you can use BADI SD_COND_SAVE_A to fulfill your requirement.This link can help in implementing the BADI :

Yes,You are right.

We should go for enhancement as there is no standard setting in SAP.
