Difference between DR and RV document type

Hi,

I am new to SAP and finance user. I want to know the difference between DR and RV document type. THese looks similar to me.

Dear,

DR - Customer invoice

RV - Accounting document for billing.

Thanks for your reply. If I understand correctly the difference between both of them then DR doc type would be used in Customer Subledger while RV doc type would be used in Accounting entry posting.

Hello Rohan,

It seems some communication gap is there. Are we talking about DMS document types which are configured through DC10 ? If so the responses might not be linked to this. We can create a DR and RV Document types in DC10. Nothing prevents from doing so.

Is this discussion related to DMS ?

I am just a finance user and will not have access to OBA7 T-codes. However, I can make out some difference between these two type from your last answer.

Hello Rohan,

It is entirely a local issue. Document types are created at your end through tcode DC10. So you should ask the person  of your team who created this.
