Hi all,

Hope I find you all in good health..and a very happy new year..

I am facing a problem in BO DS IS and I believe you people can guide me as I saw your posts.

I am a very new person to BO DS IS environment and a beginner.

Primarily I used to monitor DS IS jobs..For last few days while monitoring IS tasks in CMC I found that 2 of my main HR tasks is failing. I need to find the reason but I am not able to..like I cannot understand from where to start..I I want to know the error due to which it is failing.

Please help!

Hi silpi,

You can get the error details in CMC also.

Open CMC-->Information steward-->data insight-->select the project on which you have created task-->you will be able to see the list of tasks passed/failed-->select task & right click on failed task -->click history-->click view data base log-->You will be able to see the detailed error description under error column [E].

If answer is helpful, mark it as helpful 🙂

Hi Mohan,

Yes Now i got it and now I am able to see..the logs.

But after viewing the logs I have some doubts.

as I told that 2 of my jobs are failing..and both are scheduled to run at 21 CET..among that one job ran on time..but failed with Utility failed with code 4. (COR-10020) this error in [E] column.

other job dint run on time and failed with

Error accessing repository objects: There is no subtask

Task process finished with errors. Status is set to failed. (TSK-10027)

[I] 2016-01-01 01:00:56.947 Utility processing ended.

[E] 2016-01-01 01:00:56.963 Utility failed with code 4. (COR-10020)

Is this something related to server or connection isssure???

As these jobs are failing for last three days.

I can see in the log "no route to host". I think it may be a network issue.

Check if connection is working. Looking at the log , it seems to be a broken connection.

Hi Silpi,

You can check the log files under the below location for error. (For my case DS & IS are installed on C drive, hence you can go through the below location and check for the .txt log files. arrange the .txt files as per date modified and check the error).

C:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\logging

Hi Mohan,

Thanks for your prompt answer. Can't I get error file in CMC only?? I am not able to find it via path..
