Runtime error TSV_TNEW_BLOCKS_NO_ROLL_MEMORY in 'Mapping of data for Scrambling activity'

Hi Friends,

We are running 'Mapping of data for scrambling' for CRM client and out of 26 total sub activities .

1) 4 got completed.

2) 2 subactivities terminated with error TSV_TNEW_BLOCKS_NO_ROLL_MEMORY.

3 ) 20 subactivities are in 'Not yet started' phase.

Few questions :

a ) How do i resolve the No roll memory issue for CRM scrambling  ?

b ) why are the 20 subactivities in the 'Not yet started' phase instead of running parallel ? Are they dependent on the 2 terminated sub activities that got terminated ?

Screen shots attached.

Really appreciate your help !!

Regards,

Adithya B

Hello Aditya,

To resolve the role memory issue you can follow the below steps,

  1. Go to troubleshooting of activity 'Mapping of Data for Scrambling'
  2. You fill find a trouble shooter activity 'Activate Alternate Mapping for Failed Records'.
  3. Execute the trouble shooter activity
  4. Now re-execute the activity 'Mapping of Data for Scrambling'.

If the issue again occurs probably many of the tables involved in the scrambling are huge and in that case you can follow the below steps,

  1. Create a new package
  2. Execute the activities till 'Mapping of Data for Scrambling'
  3. Go to troubleshooting of activity 'Mapping of Data for Scrambling'
  4. You fill find a trouble shooter activity 'Activate Alternate Mapping for All Records'
  5. Execute the trouble shooter activity
  6. Now execute the activity 'Mapping of Data for Scrambling'.

Regarding the sub activities not getting started it is because of dependencies in the rules.

Hope, I answered your question.

Regards,

Jerrin

Hello Adithya ,

The error TSV_****No_ROLl*** is mainly due to memory issues in the system where you are getting the dump .

Please try and increase the roll memory as well as your extended memory and re-execute .

Also monitor the memory usage when the job is running , to see how much it uses and than you can further increase accordingly .
