HDBProcedure vs Procedure

2 File formats are there to create Procedure in HANA.

1. *.HDBProcedure.

2.  *.procedure

What is the difference between these two formats?

When I have to use HDBProcedure? When I have to use Procedure?

Hello,

.hdbprocedure is a design-time application artifact and it replaces .procedure. In SAP HANA, application artifacts have a mandatory file extension, which is used to determine the Repository tools required to parse the contents of the design-time artifact on activation. It is recommended to use .hdbprocedure than .procedure and as shown in the image as well, .procedure is deprecated in coming HANA releases. For more information you can refer HANA Developer Guide :
