Getting error While posting Goods through MB1C Error

HI SAP Gurus

I am New to SAP SD and i am getting an error while posting goods through MB1C the system throws an error message as "

No controlling area has been assigned to company code 1978 Message no. FI026

I don't want to create Controlling Area at this point and don't want to assign it, and i have not created one i am working in IDES client 800 and i am not aware of FI postings is there a way if we can disable the controlling area is it a Server Problem or some settings ? how can i get through this error... i tired searching on the net could not find an appropriate solution  also any reply with Paths and TC will help a lot as i am new to SAP Attached is the error file and snapshot Please help .....

The error message is self explanatory.  You need to assign the required Controlling Area to Company Code in configuration and only then, system will allow you post the stock.  If need, you can discuss with your FI colleagues and check with them how to overcome from this issue.
