standalone ccms agent for database server crashes as soon as i hit refresh in ST06n

Hi All,

I configured CCMS standalone agent for monitoring database server(distributed landscape->database instance is in separate server then application instance) in ST06 with help of the steps mentioned in  http://scn.sap.com/thread/3626350.

I could complete this configuration successfully for ECC system without any error, but when I switched to BW system(pure ABAP stack system using same sapccmsr agent ) and did the same, as soon as I start the CCMS agent every time and login to system and hit ST06n & press the refresh button the CCMS agent crashes with Core dump in /usr/sap/tmp/sapccmsr/. I checked the log sapccmsr.log and dev_sapccmsr  in same location but no information of the crash is updated there. Please let me know if you have any idea on this.

if you will create an incident (component BC-CCM-MON-SHM), please extract and provide the call stack as described on this wiki link:

Hello Rajdeep,

it would be better to clarify it in a SAP incident. To analyse why the sapccmsr agent crashes, its working directory needs to be checked, call stack should be extracted from the created core file. It should be checked, if the configuration of the agent is correct, if the integrated agent in SAPHOSTAGENT was deactivated correctly. It needs to be clarified, which component registration is active in the affected system in RZ21 (new or old), if the agent is registered correctly at the system (connection test to the agent in RZ21 and availability of the agent in RZ20 in the selfmonitoring in RZ20). Does the agent report OS data in the OS monitor in RZ20?
