Hi all.

I have a scenario where the customer bought 20 licenses for users (employees), one employee left the company, how can I remove the license for that user and assign it to a new one?

Hi Ric,

Terminate the employee from "People" work center and lock the user in the "Application and User Management" Work Center -> "Business Users" view.

This should make the existing user inactive.

Hire the new employee from the "Administration" work center.

Hi Suman, good day.

I think is only possible to mark as "obsolete/blocked" under "Business Partners" work center, I don't find an option under "People" work center maybe is hide.

Hi Ric,

Sorry, you have an option to end the validity of the employee by changing the Valid To field (Administrator WoC -> Users -> Employees).

The lock the Business User (Administrator WoC -> USers -> Business Users -> Edit the user Attribute --> Select the User Locked Checkbox).

With this system will not consider the user as active.

Hi Ric,

SAP calculate the user licensing cost based on active employees whom you assigned the workcenters \ business role.

You should do two things:

1. Set the "Valid To" date in employees work-center.

2. Remove the business role\workcenter
