Hi Rableen,

Is it about SAP archiving?

If YES than, you need to first analyse your data before commenting on required time frame to archive.

You need to first find top tables whose data can be archived, perform TAANA analysis over these tables than with business decide what data, type, date older data needs to be archived.

Based on all these information you can start archiving to reduce the data in the database and than can perform reorg on the tables that are archive to further reduce the table size.

Read below sap note:

Hello Rableen,

Prithviraj has summarized the issue.

In addition to him generally archiving is done according to the largest tables and analysis is done according to those tables. And the gain is more when you  do so.

Business decides the age of the data that will stay in the system. Generally they say archive the data before 2 years. But as I said it depends on the company's business need.

The note mentioned is a very useful note also
