Hi ,

I am configuring abap system in managed system configuration in solution manager and I have some problems. In step 3: Maintain RFCs when I am entering managed system user credentials and test the login, I am receiving the error:

Error during connection to system SID / 001: Error when opening an RFC connection (CPIC-CALL: 'ThSAPOCMINT' : cmRc=20 thRc=497 Unable to determine host address: ).


How can I troubleshoot this error?

Hi Aram,

Have you maintained entries in etc/hosts file in solman as well as in managed system.

The solution was in hosts file,

Aram,

Please maintain IP address and FQDN of managed system in solution manager etc/host file.

Hi Aram,

Can you ping the managed system from solution manager? If not update the host file or contact you OS Support team.

If ping is working fine check the host name and other details in technical system in LMDB.

If Technical system details are also fine, check if user is not locked. Also try with another user, may be it is missing RFC authorization.
