Open stock-negative stock reversal

Dear experts,

Currently I am trying to migrating open stock

1)Migo  561 stock goes to storage type 998 +ve

2) LT06 movement type 999 stock goes to - ve

3) LT10 offset the stock 998 using movement type 999 migration  done

Now my question is step 2 if I wrongly migrated for example qty is wrong want to reverse it, how to reverse or cancel

Please advise

Hi,

If you are afraid that user may enter wrong quantity during migration, you have two options.

1. Either disable negative stock setting for ST 998 (or)

2. Enable automatic TR creation in the setting: Assignment of MM movement type to WM movement type (view: V_T321).  This will create TR in background when you post the material document for IM movement type: 561.  You can convert this TR to TO and choose the appropriate destination storage type.  With this you can avoid wrong input of quantity during migration.

I don,t know what is the correct way to reverse it

as i managed to successfully migrate all the stock without any error

so i never had a chance to reverse it

Dear Raj,

Instead you can make the Goods Receiving Storage type as Non SU managed and then move the stock to Physical Storage type which is SU managed so that you can eliminate the manual creation of Storage Unit using LT07.

For Example Assign the Movement type GRX as Source Storage type in the Movement type which is non SU managed. One you receive the stock would be in GRX. You can move the stock to the Destination Storage type which is SU managed .

instead of step 2 & 3 you are supposed to use LT01 to move the stock to the physical bin where source storage type will be 998 and destination is physical storage type

Dear Manish,

correction we use LT07 to create SU

so that we can migrate existing SU number

Thats the purpose of this flow and not using LT01 ..
