Delivery not getting created

Dear Experts.

Order is created in Legacy system and that is flow to SAP through Interface, the order is created with multiple line item with different schedule dates, Planning is done in Legacy. Enduser is creating the delivery for every line item multiple times partially, when the balance delivery qty is less than the truck qty they are manually incressing the order qty in VA02 to balance the truck qty. but the system is not allowing the delivery.  it is showing the error message (Order cannot be delivered > Message No VL461), but when they are removing the tolerance they are able to do the delivery.

Dear experts can you please suggest a solution for this issue.

This is a MTO process. the tolerance is maintained in the CMR. and Partial Delivery allowed. and Material Master there is no Min qty maintained it is blank.

We have analyzed the issue; the problem is coming only for the last delivery for that line item.  The customer is doing multiple delivery for the line item, once the open qty is reaching below the under tolerance he is unable to do the delivery. Once he increased the qty in the order as per the under delivery % tolerance then system is allowing or when is removing the under delivery tolerance in the order manually system is allowing the delivery.

E.g.

Sales Order qty: 100Pcs

Under Delivery tolerance in 5% which is = 5Pcs

After some partial deliveries the open qty is 3Pcs

Which is less than the tolerance level system is not allowing getting into VL01N screen showing error,

Hi,

Thank for your feed back, we found a work around for the above requirement, by using "D"- No limit for subsequent deliveries - in the sales order Item, Part.dlv./item in the shipping tab. we can do the full order qty delivery and even the tolerance message will come as per the requirement.

To be honest, I'm quite confused what you are trying to achieve. You want to enter under delivery tolerance yet you don't want it to actually do anything? That's just silly... If you want to get a warning message instead of an error then why not just ask that? There are some messages that can be changed from E to W in the configuration (already discussed on SCN many times). Some messages cannot be changed. Also, people stop paying any attention to the warnings very quickly anyway.

Under/Over delivery tolerance can be maintained both at Master data & at transaction level...

CMR>>>Sales Area Data>>>Shipping tab

Sales Order>>>Item>>>Shipping tab

Minimum delivery quantity field at MMR can be used to create sales orders according to client "minimum quantity rules for delivery.."--This will be handled at Sales order creation itself while entering Order Qty(based on your message settings either W/E)

You can control this by using your delivery item category settings & Copy controls(VTLA-Plus/Minus field)...

Thank you  very much for your feedback, I will rephrase my query.Think my earlier query is confusing the discussion,

We have a requirement  where the Under delivery tolerance is set for the order 3%, and client is doing multiple partial delivers, the system is showing the warning message still the open quantity is = or more than tolerance, but when the open quantity is less than the tolerance, the system is not allowing to do the delivery for the balance quantity which is left. (Not allowing to go into the VL01N Screen) showing delivery cannot be delivered.

As per the standard SAP, Under delivery tolerance, we told client to remove when you don’t want to maintain the caution for the under delivery tolerance. But they want to have this under delivery tolerance as warning message for ever partial delivery they do, that is there requirement, and even they should be able to deliver the complete delivery.

As told in earlier post   with “D” system is allowing to do the delivery complete, system is showing "under delivery tolerance exceeded" Information message for the ever partial delivery they are doing but when the open quantity is reaching the under delivery tolerance it is not show any message but it is allowing to do the delivery, as it has already reached the under delivery tolerance. But once the Delivery quantity is exceed the system is will stop the delivery.  so we can do the complete delivery.

BUT client requirement is to have warning message still the open Qty is completed, mean they want message to trigger till the open quantity totally completed and complete delivery.

In one order they have many line items. so they are maintaining the under delivery tolerance for some line items and they deliver  the each line item quantity with multiple deliveries.

But they want to have both under delivery tolerance to work as warning message and delivery should also happen complete.

Please suggest any solution for that. If there is any enhancement required or we have any standard SAP configuration.

In customer master shipping tolerance is used for +/- customer is ready to accept the material.

order item which have the issue you can check in mm02 Sales: sales Org 1 tab, there is option called minimum delivery quantity ( remove the value).

then try to do delivery it may work

There is no value in the material. and the order has many line items with different materials, it is not with single material. Pls  suggest

When you say, system is allowing to do delivery once the tolerance is changed, you have not indicated whether the same is maintained in master data.  Also ensure that once the quantity is increased, again you carry out availability check.
