Best approach to create O data services.

Hi Experts,

Currently we are new to SAP Gateway NetWaver 7.4 SP 12 on HANA.

I required some post regarding basic and complex o data development which are beneficial to ABAP on HANA system.

(What is REST is this a difference approach to built o Data from SEGW)

There are quite a lot documents/blog available to get started with SAP Gateway OData services.

For REST and OData difference, to summarize this difference:

REST is an architecture for creating HTTP based web services while OData webservice is a instance of webservice which complies REST architecture.

There would be several detailed differences available over internet.
