Hi All,
Can some one please explain me the SAP Fiori 2.0 mentioned in the below link and the term as a whole-Fiori 2.0,which one does the below comply.
https://scn.sap.com/community/fiori/blog/2015/09/26/sap-fiori-20--next-generation-business-software
Does this mean the front and backend component which are starting with X1 and X2 in SMP as shown in below screenshot are Fiori 1.0 and 2.0 respectively or some of the fiori apps like My Timesheet(version 1.0) & My Timesheet(Version 2.0) are Fiori 1.0 and 2.0 respectively.
or are these Fiori X2 component & Fiori 2.0 app(version 2.0) are Fiori 1.0 wave 2 release respectively. I am getting very confused and lost in all these terminology.
Thanks & Regards,
Rajdeep
Hi Rajdeep,
if still your doubt not cleared, you can check the Fiori 2.0 introduction video in Open SAP Course,
clearly explained about Fiori 2.0 Concept with a demo video:

thanks,

Hi Rajdeep,
SAP FIORI 2.0 and version 2 applications are different.
fiori 2.0 is a new version of full fiori framework.
You can find more information about this here. "http://news.sap.com/sap-fiori-2-0/"
It is mentioned there that it will the new face of SAP S/4 HANA.
here is a video also of the fiori 2.0 demo "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jn787YijXBw"
http://go.sap.com/assetdetail/2015/09/40c6a080-427c-0010-82c7-eda71af511fa.html
Version 2 of the existing application is different. It just provides some new features and look and feel for particular application.

Hi Sarbjeet,
I agree with you but does this mean that version 2 and wave 2 are both the same and these X2 component and the version 2 apps are actually part of Fiori 1.0 version 2 or wave 2.
I had raised the same question to SAP(to get the SAP Fiori 2.0 apps which are compatible with non-hana release. They gave me the below link. This link talks about the apps which are compatible with release before EHP 7 ERP 6 but we are already on EHP 7 ERP 6 so the link did not apply to my case. Beside I believe this links is not about SAP Fiori 2.0 apps but Fiori 1.0 apps
Thanks & Regards,
Rajdeep
Hi Shirley
Fiori 2.0 is a design concept - not a software release.
Some Fiori 2.0 elements have already been released in SAPUI5 1.30, 1.32, 1.34 and 1.36
E.g. Fiori Overview Pages and Notification List Items
What you are seeing in the screenshot above is UI Add-On 2.0 which is a Gateway module.
The apps themselves are still considered Fiori 1.0
We may never get a Fiori 2.0 release as such...although at some point - hopefully later this year - we should get confirmation that all Fiori 2.0 elements have been realised.
Hope that helps
Rgds,
Jocelyn
