FTP Connection timed out error in channels

Hi,

We are facing an issue in our production channels. The issue is related to FTP server connectivity. We have 3 nodes in our production system which connects to FTP server. Lately, we are observing that only 2 nodes are able to connect without any errors to this server. However, the third node gives intermittently the following error:

An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server. The FTP server returned the following error message: ‘com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: The control connection to the FTP Server timed out while reading the server reply.’ For details, contact your FTP server vendor. PFB the screenshot:

We also had an OS restart done for this issue. Still the issue persists. We have also observed that the nodes which are getting connected to the FTP server have all the folders accessible to the server. However, the node which is having this issue has only 3 folders which are accessible. Please advice or provide a possible solution to this issue.

try doing a ping to the IP of the legacy system from SAP PI, with the OS01 transaction.

in option Specific IP Address, to verify connectivity with FTP.

We have tried a cache refresh. Still the issue persists.

Copy the channel with a new one and try once.

Not sure if you have already did this. But can you do full cache refresh, so that all the nodes are in Sync?

Might be cache problem as suggested by Justin.

Try stop/start, else copy the channel to new one and check.
